New New

New media is evolving and new media inventions are created every day. Although I am not too familiar with holograms and holographic images, it would be great to be able to export anything in holographic form from your phone or computer. This would help any visual teams easily place the object needed in its place before physically having it. For example, an retail store can send an image in holographic form via a mobile device to an interior designer to him/her envision how it would look. As online classes are becoming more popular, holograms can be a more efficient and realistic way for professors and teachers to teach a class from anywhere in the world. Another new media feature that can be helpful is to have a “read-only” program on all social media apps and sites, to avoid double clicking on a picture on Instagram by mistake when looking through someone else’s page.

  1. Hello, I really like the idea of holograms for retail stores that would be really cool if they did that. I also like the idea for having holograms in the classroom environment.

    1. Hi Vishal! Yeah thanks! Working for a cosmetic company, there are some visual aspects that we try to envision and it becomes really difficult when you can't physically be in the store or have the visual with you.

  2. This is such a great idea!!! That would be cool for customers to be able to see how they would look! Also, the idea of incorporating holographics with education would be a game changer. I think people would like online classes more. I personally love online classes. However, others rather be in the classroom. This would make it more engaging as if you were in the classroom.

    1. I love online classes too, and I think being able to incorporate holographics will attract those students who don't love the idea of online classes and would prefer learning from a teacher in front of them.

  3. This could be the way next generation technology may be headed. We are already equipped with gadgets it would be really cool to Skype or Facetime with someone in a 3 dimensional way. I like your idea of using holograms for online classes it would make classes more interesting and realistic.
